An alternative to Care Homes?

Crippen’s cartoon about Workhouses for disabled people

A group of angry disabled people are protesting outside of a large building identified by a sign as a Workhouse. The building has a placard across its front which says in German ‘Arbeit macht frei’ which means ‘work will set you free’. The building has bars on the windows and doors and is guarded by men in uniform. A white male in a dark grey suit is gesturing towards the building whilst saying to the disabled people: “Whatever gave you the idea that we were going to put you back in care homes?!”
