Hi folks, sorry there’s been a bit of a gap between postings. Since retiring I seem to have more work to get through than before, and its not all cartooning these days.
Amongst my newer ventures I’ve been creating little fairy houses …

along with dragonflies …

and bees, for a local nature reserve.

I’m also producing a local community magazine, wearing the editor, photographer and writer’s hats. It’s good fun as well as learning about our local community and the interesting people that reside within the village. I also get to attend the local Parish Council meetings which is often an eye opener!

And, of course, I’m still reworking my older cartoons for inclusion in the Leeds University Crippen archive.

We’ve pretty well got all of the 100 different category folders up on the archive site now, along with the (alt text) descriptions. There’s currently an average of five cartoons in each catergory which means that we’re up to about 500 cartoons that have been either redrawn or made more accessible. The plan is to continue adding to these categories eventually bringing the total number of cartoons to around 1,000. There’s also copies of various training booklets and training materials (social model explanations etc) that I’ve created over the years along with the strip cartoons that I’ve created for ALLFIE.
It’s looking like the official launch of the Archive will be in the New Year now, with hopefully another trip up to Leeds Uni when this happens.
Anyway, that’s all for now. I’ll keep you posted x
